Vocabulary - 疼 and 痛

[Simplified 简体字]

疼及痛的意思是
因为疾病,刺激或创伤而引起难受的感觉.
[是跟肉体和心理情绪上有关]
这两个字的意思其实难以辨别的.
但我们要知道它们的用处并不总是一样的.

這是什麼?

The meaning of 疼 and痛 is
Due to illness, irritation or injury / wound then cause us to feel uncomfortable feeling.
[related to the physical and mentally or emotional]
In fact, it is difficult to distinguish the meaning of these 2 words.
But we have to know that their usefulness [function] is not always the same.

The meaning of ‘痛’
Firstly means physically uncomfortable feeling, such as headache, gout, itchy.
Secondly means sad [sorrowful], for example bitter [deep sorrow], profound grief, anguish [suffering]
Thirdly means to one heart’s content, thoroughly, to do one utmost [to the best to]
For example 痛责 [scold or rebuke severely], to detest,
痛貶 [to do the best to belittle someone], sadly to mourn,
to berate – to revile [to do best efforts in vilify or disgrace someone], to beat someone hardly,
痛毁 [to do the best effort to vilify someone], 痛彻心腑 [to stab into the bottom of heart.  Describing extremely misery or sad], etc.

感觉上, ‘痛’的感受似乎远甚于 ‘疼’
痛心疾首”,“切肤之痛”,“哀痛欲绝”,
丧明之痛”由此可见.

emotionally, the feeling of ‘痛’ seems even deeper than ‘疼’
"痛心疾首 – to hate deeply",
"切肤之痛 – pain of cutting one’s body, keenly felt pain",
"哀痛欲绝 – unbearble deep sorrow",
"丧明之痛 – deep sadness of losing the one we love"
As can be seen from this.

‘痛’有多深呢?
‘痛’带有悲伤,是无可弥补而且难以治愈的.

Then, how deep is the ‘痛’ ?
‘痛’ bring sadness, it is irreparable and difficult to cure.

而“疼”这个字的含意 :
第一是肉体难受的感觉,
头疼, 牙疼., 肚子疼.
第二是爱怜或爱护的意思,
疼顾, 偏疼, 疼爱, 疼惜.

And this“疼”means:
First is physically uncomfortable feeling,
such as headache, toothache, stomach ache.
Secondly means Sympathy or love and care,
for example take good care, very care of someone,
to love [child], dearest / to love.

常听的短句是:
“头疼脑热”,“知疼着热”,等等.

The common phrase is:
"headache with slight fever," "care and love" and so on.

从这些成语来比较,我们能看到
“疼”在人们的心里比 ‘痛’ 的分量有多轻,
‘疼’甚至带有一丝的甜蜜。如“疼”某人,等等.

By comparing to these proverbs above, we could see that
‘疼’ feels lighter than ‘痛’,
‘疼’ even bring a hint of sweet thing or feeling.
For example : “疼某人” means to care [love] someone, and so on.

Chinese Punctuation 標點符號

標點符號 Chinese punctuation marks are used to organize and clarify written Chinese. Chinese punctuation marks are similar in function to English punctuation marks, but sometimes differ in form. All Chinese characters are written to a uniform size, and this size also extends to punctuation marks, so Chinese punctuation marks usually take up more space than their English counterparts. Chinese characters can be written either vertically or horizontally, so the Chinese punctuation marks change position depending on the direction of the text. For example, parentheses and quotation marks are rotated 90 degrees when written vertically, and the full stop mark is placed below and to the right of the last character when written vertically. Before adapting punctuation marks from the Western world, Chinese text did not contain such symbols. Ancient Chinese text has hundreds and thousands of characters with literally no spaces between them. As the 20th century came around and Eastern text adapted to m
