How to say - first....then...

先 ... 再 ...
First do one thing, then do other thing.
Melakukan satu hal terlebih dahulu , kemudian melakukan hal yang lainnya

Formula 格式 [rumus]

Subject [+ modal verb] + 先 + verb1 [+ object], 再 + verb2 [+object]
Subjek [+modal verb] + 先 + predikat1 [+ objek], 再 + predikat2 [+object]

for example 例子 [contohnya]:

我們先喝一杯茶，再離開。
Wǒ men xiān hē yì bēi chá, zài lí kāi
我们先喝一杯茶，再离开。
let's drink a cup of tea firs, then leave.
kami minum segelas teh terlebih dahulu, kemudian pergi.

你先說，我再說。
Nǐ xiān shuō, wǒ zài shuō
你先说，我再说。
You say [something] first, then I say.
Kamu ngomong terlebih dahulu, baru saya.

你應該先買票，再上車。
Nǐ yīng gāi xiān mǎi piào, zài shàng chē.
你应该先买票，再上车。
you must buy the ticket first, then get into the car.
Kamu harus beli tiket terlebih dahulu, kemudian naik kendaraan.

我要先休息一會兒，再做。
Wǒ yào xiān xiū xí yí huìr, zài zuò.
我要先休息一会儿，再做。
I'd like to take a rest for a while first then do the task.
Saya ingin beristirahat sebentar terlebih dahulu, kemudian mengerjakannya.


Modal verb:
要，want; 想，would; 想要，would like to; 能，can; 会，can; etc.



Note:
Remember 車 this word actually means Vehicle, not always means Car. It could be bus or train.
Ingat bahwa huruf 车 sebenarnya berarti kendaran, tidak selalu berarti MOBIL, terkadang berarti bis atau kereta api.

一會兒 【in Beijing they pronounce it yì huǐr, but 普通話 or 中文 pronounce it yí huìr】
means for a while, but we mostly say 一下兒 【yí xiàr】 or just 一下 【yí xià】
一会儿 【Di Pei Cing mereka melafalkannya yì huǐr, tapi 普通話 atau 中文 melafalkannya sebagai yí huìr】
